Job Title: Communications Assistant
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000
Hours: 32 hours (4 Day-Week)
Arrangements: Flexible Working | Remote/Hybrid | Must be based in local area
Overview: I am seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Communications Assistant to join our dedicated constituency team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in political communications. The role offers hands-on experience in graphic design, video editing, social media management, and public relations in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Graphic Design: Develop high-quality digital and print content.
- Video Production: Produce and edit short, engaging video clips for social media platforms.
- Social Media Management: Maintain and update social media channels to engage with the public and share up to date information.
- Content Creation: Draft press releases, policy briefs, and other written materials to communicate the work of the MP.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant experience in graphic design, video editing, and/ or social media management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- A passion for creativity and able to work independently on projects.
- A keen understanding of the UK political landscape and/ or a willingness to learn.
