Many residents from the Ardersier and Petty community have been in touch with me following recent changes to bus timetabling which has left people in the area without vital transport links.
On Tuesday I attended the Ardersier and Petty Community Council to discuss the changes to the bus service between Ardersier and Nairn. The service provided a vital transport link to local residents, many of whom rely on the service to get to and from medical appointments. Changes to the scheduling have left many people without any way to get to work or to doctors appointments.
I have already met with Stagecoach and will be meeting with the Highland Council next week. I will also continue to work with Fergus Ewing MSP, community groups and local Councillors on potential community led transport solutions, to offer a suitable service to the local area both for immediate and longer term needs.
I will keep constituents updated on progress.
