I am delighted to be joining the pupils of Drakies Primary for the official launch of their Reach Out Community Cafe which, working with NHS Highland, aims to tackle loneliness.
They have pledged to help fight loneliness by holding their Community Cafe, organised and run by them. They are, indeed, an example to us all.
To support the NHS Highland Reach Out Campaign, I have pledged to host regular surgeries at Reach Out events – so those attending can speak to me about the issues affecting them most.
Generally in my update posts, I like to give you a bit of background about the issue I am speaking about however on this occasion I would like to hand that task over to the pupils of Drakies Primary who recently penned their thoughts on loneliness.
